Lodi woman hopeful for 2018 after journey out of homelessness

With the new year right around the corner, many are reflecting on the events that occurred in their lives over the past year, coming up with things they’d like to do and changes they’d like to make moving forward. For one woman, 2017 was a year of triumph after a period of severe lows.

Jessica Hernandez, mother of four, found herself homeless earlier in the year. With the help of local programs, she has found a place to live and is entering 2018 with new goals of returning to school, securing full-time employment and saving money to afford a more permanent home.

When Hernandez was forced to leave her Stockton home earlier in the year, she and her children were left homeless.
